August 18, 2011The Majesty of Light
April 29, 2011
My most recent painting of white flowers was done during my 77 days of learning discipline. The 77 days included fasting one day a week, exercise 30 mins. a day and fasting from all white stuff (sugar, rice, etc). Interesting that I would paint what I could not eat…white stuff! The Lord taught me so many things during this time period. Read Daniel 9 (The Seventy Sevens). He brought me a little closer “Into His Light”…the glorious splendor of His Majesty!
The Wings of a Prayer
February 19, 2011ARISE, shine…a new day is here!
January 17, 2011
In a dry and weary land, I search for you . . . and find you were searching for me first! After many days of snow and ice, I long for the sun’s heat to melt away my blues. I long for my Lord to warm my heart and break away those icy parts. My painting today is titled, Arise. This Serendipity flower is aglow with the sun’s warmth and the metallic inks reflect the sun’s light. There are days when the Lord seems far away, then the sun breaks through and He is near once more!
Live today as if it’s all you get.
November 3, 2010Above you can the beginning stages of my white daisy flower painting. It was one of the last blooms of the season. The flowers had died out at the end of the long hot summer, but then reseeded themselves and started blooming late October. Giving all they have, ignoring the oncoming fall, they are blooming with passion. That’s what we are called to do, bloom passionately…even if you are in the “fall” of your life. In this morning’s devotion time, God reminded me to “Live as if today is all you get.” Don’t wait for tomorrow, live passionately…today!
Sunflower Season
October 18, 2010Celebrate sunshine, sunflower days and the glory of the season…fall! See the beauty in every day things…red and gold leaves falling to the ground…the last of the flowers…their golden faces…the quiet beauty of the remaining butterflies…stop, look and smile. God’s glory is all around us, don’t miss it!
